About the facilitators and workshop:
This workshop will be led by Virginia “Gin” Lezard, a member of the Colville Confederated Tribes. Gin is from the Colville Indian Reservation in Eastern Washington and has been weaving baskets, sewing, beading, and making traditional art for many years. Gin learned basket twining from relatives, and her grandmother was a renowned weaver in the Okanogan Valley. Her granddaughter, Johnny McCraigie, a Colville tribal member and Denver resident, will accompany her in the workshop.
